California Wildfires
Fire conditions will continue to stay favorable for development and intensification over the next few days. Wind speeds should start to slow down by the weekend and that will help containment efforts.
Snow in the Northeast and Central Rockies
Snow has been pushing through the Northeast and the Central Rockies this morning. Most of this precipitation should be clearing out by the late morning and early afternoon.
More Snow for the Great Lakes this Weekend
Another system moving out of southern Canada will bring snow chances back the the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes again this weekend. Some areas could see a few inches of snowfall.
Heavy Rain for the Gulf Coast Saturday Night
An area of low pressure moving out of the western Gulf of Mexico will bring some heavy rain chances (even some thunderstorms) to the Gulf Coast by the end of the weekend. Rainfall rates could be high leading to areas of flash flooding in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
