Midwife Boards Inflatable Swan to Save the Day Amidst Texas Floods

With deadly Texas floods under way on Monday, midwife Cathy Allen Rude didn’t let water covered streets stop her from reaching a birth center in Katy, Texas. Rude used a giant inflatable swan to get to the Katy Birth Center after overnight rain led to floods around Houston.

She posted the image on her Facebook page saying: “Midwives will do anything to get to a birth! Riding a swan to get off my flooded street and make it to the birth center! Thanks, Celeste! You gave me a great ride!”
